Microsoft Surface Pro 4 fires on all cylinders
Looking to replace your laptop, but want a tablet at the same time? Then the Surface Pro 4 might be exactly what you're looking for.
Microsoft has perfected the PC-laptop hybrid formula and reinforced it with Windows 10. The Surface Pro 4 not only has a great portable design, but it also has enough power to run all the software you'd normally run on a desktop-games included.
Starting at $899, the tablet is definitely worth the investment. Compared to the iPad Pro and Google's Pixel C, the Surface Pro 4 is a very strong competitor.
Here's everything you need to know about the Surface Pro 4 if you're considering buying one:
Design:
It's sleek, thin and portable. I really like the fact that I can take anywhere with me and it won't become a burden.
Compared to the Surface Pro 3, the Pro 4 is lighter (2.5 pounds with the keyboard and pen), thinner (9.1mm), yet bigger and with a better resolution. The screen is now 12.3 inches and it has a resolution of 2, 736 x 1, 824 pixels.
The kickstand and speakers also received an upgrade. The kickstand is firmer than ever and it can adjust between 22 and 150 degrees. The speakers are now placed on the front of the screen and are two times louder than those on the Pro 3.
Other specs on the device include a single USB 3.0 port, a Mini DisplayPort for video, a microSD card slot, and an audio jack-which is a similar set up to previous models.

Battery Life:
It last almost a day and it'll drains slowly on sleep mode. I think the most juice that I got from using the computer non-stop was 10 hours.
Camera:
We've probably all made fun of someone who takes photos with their tablets, but this tablet actually has a good camera. The Surface Pro 4 has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera and an 8 megapixel rear camera that can shoot 1080p video.
This might not be something the average user wants, but it could come in handy for architects, designers and other creative people.
Accessories (Pen & Type Cover):
The first accessory is the Pen, aka the stylus, which has improved significantly. It's very responsive and I was really surprised by how accurate it predicted my text. Microsoft says that the Pen has reduced latency and 1,024 pressure levels.
The Pen now attaches to the sides of the tablet with a magnetic connection so you won't be leaving just anywhere. The magnet is actually pretty strong. It stays connected even when inside a bag.
The Pen also has various shortcuts such as opening OneNote with a single click or activating Cortana with a long press.

As for its battery, well, it lasts a year, pretty good.
In a way, it's great that you don't have to charge it or replace the batteries.
The second accessory is the Type Cover, better keyboard, which has a more responsive touchpad than previous models. However, I noticed a small lag every now and then. It might've just been that the keyboard wasn't fully connected or that I'm still used to my MacBook's.
Overall thoughts:
Microsoft has significantly upgraded the Surface Pro since its debut in 2012. The Surface Pro 4 is definitely one of the best PC-tablet hybrids out in the market. The Surface Pro 4 is highly recommended with the keyboard
